My station wiring looks something like the following:
The hardware for each rig is an Omni VI+/DSP-599zx/IBS-1. The IBS-1's control the bandpass filters and will eventually control the antenna selectors (currently that is manual). The audio isolation box is just the standard 1:1 transformers and a voltage divider. The computer is a homegrown PIII/600. The COM ports above 2 are via USB to serial boxes made by Entrega (now owned by Xircom). The SO2R box is described below. The IBS-1's are no longer available, but Array Solutions has replaced them with the DBS-1. It appears that the DBS-1 works off of the same signals in a more convenient package. I use the following as my main SO2R controller. It is mostly just a collection of level converters matching the RS232 levels of several serial ports to TTL levels used by radios for various functions. Coupled with the WriteLog contest logging program and my FKeys utility the board provides the following:
